Hunter's Info
Just a note about our ranch.
1. Our ranch (2000 hectares) is fully fenced in (2.4 metre high), game proof.
2. Our ranch is divided in a number of huge camps each with it's own water supply,
allowing the game to roam freely, but to assist in controlling a small herd of cattle
which we keep to "free the veld from ticks" and also as a joint venture with our
farm workers.
3. Our ranch is approved by Nature Conservation as a hunting ranch
and issued with an excemption permit, allowing us to hunt
throughout the year without applying for permits.
4. We are also approved by Nature Conservation as a hunting
outfitter, meaning that our facilities are good enough and up to
standard.
5. We are also approved by the South African Police Services to conduct "business in
hunting", meaning "no problem" in providing our guests with firearms.

*Visa requirements:
May vary from country of origin of the hunter or tourist. No Visa required for hunters from the US.
*Hunting licenses required:
Legislation is that no foreign hunter may hunt in South Africa, unless he/she is contracted by a registered outfitter (Safari operator) and guided by a professional hunter. I am your professional hunter & outfitter. My duty is to ensure that you, my client, do not have to worry about hunting licenses, hunting permits, permits for dispatch of trophies, all paperwork and other administrative requirements.
All Hunting-related payments (except taxidermy) are normally made to the outfitter and not any administrative or legal authority.
*Firearms Licences required:
*None. However, the visiting hunter must have proof of ownership of the firearm in his country. So far, a valid export permit from his/her country of origin is accepted, and if licences have been issued in his/her country of origin it is best to bring them along. Upon arrival he/she will be issued a temporary import permit at no charge, valid for 90 to 180 days by the Customs & Excise officer at port of entry. Firearms must accompany the hunter upon departure.
*Firearms that will not be permitted into SA:
*All automatic rifles and semi-automatic rifles ..... Please check with us if you are not sure.
* No more than one firearm per caliber and 200 rounds per firearm will be permitted. No ammunition for other rifle calibers will be permitted.
* An exception to this may apply for shotguns where more than one of the same caliber may be allowed for bird hunting purposes if the client produces on arrival at the SAPS Gun Office an acceptable written motivation as to why more than one is required.
* Firearms must bear the manufacturer’s serial number or any other mark by which the firearm can be identified. The identification number must be stamped and the mark affixed in the prescribed manner on the barrel or the frame or the receiver of the firearm.
